 Living in Incline Village
We love this place!
The breathtaking Lake Tahoe area goes beyond just being an exciting tourist destination. This area is your home!
Located in the high Sierra Nevada mountains, Incline Village offers a beautiful landscape, excellent quality of life, world-class vacation and recreation amenities, and a tax haven!
Incline Village’s temperate character.
At 6,233 feet altitude, Incline Village has four distinct seasons with few extremes. Average temperatures range from winter lows in the 20’s to summer highs in the 70’s. Annual precipitation is common, scarcist from September to October. The winter months typically promise snow, though it tends to melt by late afternoon in the valleys. Here, the sun shines about 250 days a year, providing warm days, cool nights, and blue skies. The colder months can be chilly, but warm up as the sun breaks through the clouds.
Business breaks and bene ts.
Tax benefits (no corporate, personal income, unitary, inventory, or franchise tax), accessibility to western markets, transportation hub, abundance of available industrial/office/commercial space, advanced telecommunications infrastructure, business-friendly regulations, and
high quality of life make Nevada’s side of Lake Tahoe an extremely attractive place to do business and live. Michelin North America, Microsoft Licensing, John Deere Company, Kal Kan,, Intuit, and Cisco Systems are just a few examples of companies who have recently chosen to expand in or move into our region. They join longstanding companies, such Ralston Foods, International Game Technology, and R. R. Donnelley and Sons, in calling northern Nevada their home.
The state.
Born October 31, 1864, Nevada is the Battle Born State. Our state bird is the mountain bluebird, and the state animal is the desert bighorn sheep. Our flower is the sagebrush, and our tree is the bristlecone pine. The Lake Tahoe area constitutes one of Nevada’s two national forests and one of its 24 state parks. Our state song is “Home Means Nevada,” and our motto is “All for Our Country.” The northwest part of the state has the smarts, too, with tremendous resources at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Small Business Development Center, and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC).
